I just received Mighty Popo's African Guitar dvd, and wow, this is what I've been looking for all my fingerpicker's life. What a great thing. I've read lots of books about how to do this and none of them really taught it so a beginner like me could follow it.
This dvd is just amazing. I deeply hope that you'll soon follow up with Mighty Popo's second dvd, as he announced on this one - I'm really yearning for the mandingue stuff.
Thanks for giving westerners like me the chance to learn this wonderful African styles of guitar playing.
Best wishes from Vienna, Europe

Many years ago I bought a series of rock rhythm guitar lessons taught by Amos. That series was equal parts study, history and music appreciation. I learned every single riff on those tapes and benefited greatly as a player.
Because of that background, getting the Amos Garrett Stringbending DVD is like a homecoming for me. Amos is both a gifted musician and educator. Spending just a few minutes viewing the DVD I learned new licks and techniques to work into my repertoire. "The Fabulous Grab" lick alone is priceless. The video and audio production of the DVD is the best I've seen and nearly matches the excellent content. This DVD is an inspiration.
I bought the Paul Pigat Rockabilly video from you a while back, and I must say it is great! I have some other instruction videos, but none came close to the attention Paul gave to his 'students' in this one. You know, after watching it many times, I feel as though I know Paul. All the great players in my area are in awe of my new Rockabilly licks that I learned from this video. It has opened up my creative side, and has taken me to the next level. I am proud of what I have learned and appreciate the quality video. Many thanks to you and Paul for getting me there.

I purchased your book (Back up Dobro) and your DVD (More Dobro) and it has opened my eyes more than any instructional DVD that I own. I have no musical background and your book and DVD is helping me to understand a lot about music theory as applied to Dobro. I just ordered you beginners DVD and maybe that will help me even more. I am looking forward to receiving the new DVD.
Thanks,
Bobby
I learned of Paul's DVD through the "Gretsch Pages Discussion Board". Thank you for producing this. Not even my last two guitar instructors who are "old school" really got the jist of what I was looking for when I said that I wanted to learn to express myself with rockabilly. This lesson beats both the Setzer DVD as well as a couple of others that I have purchased.

I've looked and looked for a tape that could teach bass to a reasonably well-schooled amateur musician; I finally found it! Your tape is a teaching masterpiece! Thanks so much, I (and my jam-mates) appreciate it!.

I just received your tape "Understanding the Slide Guitar". Within the first hour with the tape, I learned more that I had since I started playing slide. This is by far the best instructional tape I've ever had, and I've bought a million!

This guy is a hidden jem! I love his opening tune; most slide dvd's go through the same worn out Elmore James licks....blah,blah. His turn arounds are original, his chord voicings are original, his ascending climb to the IV chord knocks me out! I just wish he did a whole slide cd, plus that thumb at the bottom of the neck is a great idea.
